## Worship That Transforms

July 17th, 2026

Paul and Silas had every reason to complain—beaten, imprisoned unjustly, locked in stocks. Instead, they chose worship. At midnight, they prayed and sang hymns, and the other prisoners listened. Their worship didn’t just bring physical deliverance; it brought spiritual transformation. The jailer and his entire household came to faith because two men chose to worship in their darkest hour. This is worship’s ultimate power: it changes us and impacts everyone around us. When you worship in hardship, you testify that God is greater than your circumstances. You become a living sermon. Your worship invites God’s presence, which transforms hearts—yours first, then others’. Every battle is an opportunity for God’s glory to be revealed through your worship.

### Worship During the Battle

Moses’ raised hands during Israel’s battle with Amalek weren’t just symbolic—they were essential. When his hands were lifted in worship and dependence on God, Israel prevailed. When they dropped, the enemy gained ground. This reveals a critical truth: worship during difficulty invites God’s supernatural power into your present struggle. You don’t have to wait until the storm passes to praise. Paul and Silas worshiped in prison at midnight, beaten and bound, and God sent an earthquake that opened every door. Your current trial isn’t a reason to stop worshiping; it’s the very reason to continue. Worship doesn’t deny your pain—it declares God’s presence in it. Keep your hands raised.

### Living Sacrifices in Daily Decisions

esus calls us to take up our cross daily—not once, but every single day. A living sacrifice means presenting ourselves to God repeatedly, one decision at a time. Unlike the Old Testament sacrifices that were offered once and consumed, we are called to continually choose God’s will over our own preferences. This looks like starting your day in prayer instead of scrolling your phone, choosing forgiveness when resentment feels justified, or giving generously when keeping feels safer. Each choice is a small death to self and a step toward transformation. The beauty of living sacrifices is that they’re not about perfection but persistence. What one area of your life needs to be placed on the altar today? Trust that God’s way, though harder, leads to life.

### Fighting for Your Faith

Your relationship with God will face opposition. The enemy schemes to plant doubts, twist truths, and magnify disappointments until your faith crumbles. Paul understood this warfare intimately—beaten, imprisoned, shipwrecked, yet unshaken. His secret? He took every thought captive, destroying arguments against knowing God. When disappointment whispers that God doesn't care, combat it with truth: He gave His Son for you. When confusion suggests God is absent, counter with Scripture: He promises never to leave. Don't give negative thoughts a foothold, or they'll become strongholds. Run to Jesus, to truth-speaking friends, to Scripture—not to things that weaken your faith. Spiritual warfare is real, but your weapons have divine power. Fight for the relationship Jesus already fought to secure.

### Choosing Jesus' Way Over Culture's Way

Culture offers an easy path when the church hurts you: cancel, leave, quit, repeat. But Jesus offers a harder, better way—one that keeps hearts soft and relationships strong. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Outdo one another in showing honor. Put others' needs above your own, not because they deserve it, but because Jesus did this for you. Being hurt by fellow believers is inevitable, but your response is your choice. Will you become jaded and toxic, or will you become more like Jesus? The world's method makes everyone a victim. Jesus' method gives everyone hope. Today, commit to Jesus' way: stay engaged, love earnestly, pursue reconciliation, and trust that God is building something supernatural through imperfect people—including you.

### Persistence of Prayer

We are purposed to set aside Sundays at the Tree Church Daily as a special time to engage our hearts and minds in worship, prayer, and fellowship. As you start your day, let’s pray… Heavenly Father, I need You to speak to me today. I need Your comfort and...

### What We Shall Be

As believers, we have a new identity in Christ. We are children of God. This comes with both blessings and challenges. Let’s look into both sides of what our identity holds today. Before we get into our topic, let’s pray.
Holy Father, I want to take this time to invite Your Spirit into this moment with me. I pray that You would increase my faith and understanding of salvation. Teach me what it mea...

### Our Firm Foundation

This week, we have been pursuing the deep understanding that it takes both obedience and surrender to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
