Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.

Reading: **John 18:33-38**

Be sure to highlight or note anything that stands out to you while you read.
After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.

It is easy to assume that following Jesus simply means adopting better moral habits or securing a place in eternity. But Jesus described something far more radical—a kingdom with an entirely different set of values than the world around us. When Pilate asked, “What is truth?” he was not seeking an answer. He was dismissing the possibility that truth even existed.
**
**Many people around us carry that same posture today. As a follower of Jesus, you carry citizenship in a kingdom that does not shift with culture, politics, or popular opinion. Ask yourself today: Which kingdom is shaping my decisions?**
**
In what area of your life are you most tempted to prioritize your earthly preferences over God’s kingdom purposes?**

Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…

1. Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).
2. Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: **Father, thank You for inviting me into Your kingdom. Forgive me for the times I have allowed the values of this world to shape my thinking more than Your truth. Help me seek Your kingdom above my own desires and give me the wisdom to make decisions that honor You. May my life reflect my true citizenship in Christ. Amen.**
3. Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today.

**Faith Steps:**

1. Identify one decision you are currently facing and ask, “What choice best reflects God’s kingdom?”
2. Spend a few minutes thanking God today that your identity is rooted in His unchanging kingdom rather than the changing values of the world.
