Jesus revealed the one thing holding him back: his possessions. Following Christ requires surrender—letting go of whatever we treasure more than Him. The good news? God never asks us to give up something without offering something infinitely greater in return.** Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer… 1. Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you). 2. Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: **Lord, help me to hold loosely to earthly things and cling tightly to You. Give me courage to surrender whatever keeps me from fully following You.** 3. Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today. **Take Action:** 1. Identify one “earthly treasure” competing for your devotion. Write it down and surrender it to God in prayer. 2. Choose one way today to invest in a heavenly treasure (generosity, service, encouragement).
