God's Faithfulness in Our Journey

God's Faithfulness in Our Journey

Take 2-3 minutes to quiet yourself and ask God to speak to you today through your devotional time.

Reading: Exodus 14

Be sure to highlight or note anything that stands out to you while you read.
After reading the passage, take the next 5-10 minutes and spend time reflecting on what you read. You can write these things down in a journal or record them in your phone. Be attentive to both what you highlighted in the passage and what is going on in your life.

The parting of the Red Sea was one of the most dramatic displays of God’s power. Yet before the miracle, the Israelites were terrified, trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the sea.

Moses’ words—"The Lord will fight for you; you only have to be silent"—remind us that faith means trusting even when we don’t see a way forward.

Are there “Red Sea” moments in your life—situations that feel impossible? God specializes in making a way where there is none. Step forward in faith today, trusting Him to do what only He can.

Now, take 10 minutes to seek God in prayer…

  1. Begin your time in prayer by taking 1-3 minutes to sit in silence (You can take longer if you sense the Spirit already beginning to speak to you).
  2. Pray through the things you sensed God speaking to you through the Scriptures or pray the following prayer: Lord, I trust You to fight my battles. Help me step forward in faith, knowing that You are always making a way for me.
  3. Close by taking 5 minutes to sit in silence, asking God if there is anything else He wants to speak to you today.

Take Action:

  1. Identify a difficult situation where you need God to make a way. Surrender it to Him in prayer.
  2. Choose an act of faith today—whether it’s praising God in advance, speaking His promises, or refusing to give in to fear.
